So 2 weeks left until I leave Xiaolan, and I have no idea what to do next.
I know when I get home I would like (btw mum list has grown and possibly will continue to grow):
Chocolate Brownie
Bottle of cold cider
Bulmers from the tap
A walk down the Thames
A trip to Bath
A nice warm bath
A journey in a car which doesn’t have a meter
New shoes (china’s shoes only go up to a size 6)
A swim in an indoor swimming pool
Not to see any motorbike taxi men (They are annoying and take the mickey out of you)
To find out the best option for what to do next.
Currently I have these options:
Quickly apply to courses to learn how to be a proper fully qualified teacher in the UK and abroad
Cry and say I have no Job! And then start rushing out to find the one.
Travel
Find another TEFL job.
Then I had to add one more to the list…
My 1.5 to 3 year old students have started to call me Rachel jiějiě (Big Sister Rachel), and running up to me at the end of the class to give me a hug. And now the day-care centre wants to keep me permanently, and have asked me to stay.
Why do 2 year olds have to look so cute?
